America - A Nation With No Foundation!

"Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew,and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it."

"How doth the city sit solitary, that was full of people! How is she become as a widow! She that was great among the nations, and princess among the provinces, how is she become tributary! She weepeth sore in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks: among all her lovers she hath none to comfort her: all her friends hath dealt treacherously with her, they are become her enemies……Her filthiness is in her skirts, she remembereth not her last end; therefore she came down wonderfully: she had no comforter. O Lord, behold my affliction: for the enemy hath magnified himself. The adversary hath spread out his hand upon all her pleasant things: for she hath seen that the heathen entered into her sanctuary, whom thou didst command that they should not enter into thy congregation."

"And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds."

In this issue of the Last Trumpet Newsletter, we will look once again at a world that is crumbling into chaos and confusion. We will also focus on the United States of America as a once powerful nation that is now rapidly descending into a fading shadow of its erstwhile greatness. Clearly, the United States is in serious trouble and is under Divine judgment because of her iniquities and gross evils of every kind. America has ignored God's call and warnings for so long that she has completely lost her reference point with truth and morality. It is a sad fact that we now live in a nation whose leaders are crooked and perverse, whose churches are demon-infested, and whose society is afflicted with a social distemper that reflects on everything she does.

The problem with America is that she is not founded on the Lord Jesus Christ; and thus, when the storms of judgment come, she will have a great fall. It is the lack of foundation that is the problem! There is a reason why the crime rate is so high: babies are sacrificed to Satan in abortion clinics, animals are tortured, government officials are corrupt, the economy is failing, churches are spiritually dead and infested with homosexuals, there is no pride of workmanship, and people drive like idiots with cell phones glued to their ears. There is a reason why people everywhere are piercing their bodies, tattooing their flesh, and wallowing in addictions to pornography, alcohol, drugs, and perversions so vile that I cannot mention them here. What has happened to our once-beautiful land? There was a time not long ago when none of this would have been tolerated! Yes, America has lost her reference point with character and morality. People in their hedonistic frenzy who have commonly stated that they are going out to "raise hell" have been successful! Hell has been raised, and we now see it on the surface everywhere we look. America is a nation without a foundation; for she has denied, rejected, blasphemed, and insulted the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is true that these conditions exist, for they are continually visible and undeniable. The good news is that our Saviour is coming back again to bring all of this into judgment. You can be ready to meet him if you truly repent, call upon Him, and obey the Gospel. Time is almost gone, and the little time that is left is evaporating quickly. Your personal life can be founded upon the solid rock of the Saviour, and when time ends, you will meet the Lord Jesus as your friend. Why wait another minute? You can call upon Him right now and He will hear you!

The Entire Earth Is Becoming a Disaster Area!

Truly, this is the earthquake generation; not to mention the numerous other continual disasters that are happening everywhere in the world. On July 16th, 2007, while I was writing the August issue of the Last Trumpet Newsletter, a power 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck Japan. The killer quake destroyed hundreds of buildings and severely damaged a nuclear power plant, causing radioactive water to pour into the Sea of Japan. The radiation contamination site caused United Nations' inspectors to scurry to the disaster location. (1)

On August 8th, 2007, a powerful 7.5 magnitude quake struck Indonesia. The Moslem city of Jakarta was severely shaken and tall buildings swayed. Multitudes of people ran into the streets calling upon their god Allah. This troubled area of the world is called the ring of fire, because of the numerous volcanoes and fault lines along the Pacific Rim area. This area of the world has never stopped shaking since the 2004 catastrophic tsunami. (2)

On August 6th, 2007, an earthquake of 3.9 magnitude struck in Utah, and it was followed by ten aftershocks. During this quake a mine collapsed and trapped the miners working inside. (3) On August 14th, 2007, a powerful quake struck Macquarie Island near Australia with a magnitude of 6.1. That very same day, a magnitude 5.4 quake rattled the big island of Hawaii while the residents were already on an alert for an approaching hurricane. (4) Then on the very next day, August 15th, 2007, an intense earthquake, registering a 7.9 magnitude, struck Peru. Tsunami warnings and alerts were issued as far away as Hawaii. In Peru, the capital city of Lima was greatly shaken, and in the nearby city of Ica, a church collapsed killing seventeen people and injuring seventy. (5)

We must remember that any earthquake with a magnitude of 4 or above is considered significant. With that in mind, we know that Scripture is being fulfilled as the words of our Saviour come alive in the news. In Luke 21:11, we read as follows: "And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven."

As we ponder that amazing verse and consider that the U.S. Geological Survey reported 328 significant earthquakes in the past thirty days, we know that the coming of the Lord is at the very doors. In fact, I am writing this newsletter on August 16th, 2007, and it is currently 10:43 A.M. Central Daylight Time; and there have already been nineteen earthquakes just today all -- over magnitude 4! (6)

During this summer of 2007, every kind of disaster has troubled Europe. Intense heat waves, storms, tornadoes, and floods have caused massive loss of life and destruction over the entire continent. In England, flooding struck in a very significant area. We must remember that in the month of July 2007 the new Harry Potter book, and a new Harry Potter movie were released. Here let it be noted that the Harry Potter witchcraft movies were filmed in Gloucester at Gloucester Cathedral, which became Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Here let it be noted that this is the very area, Gloucestershire, that was hit with the severe flooding! (7) Only a few days after the release of the latest Harry Potter book and movie, 340,000 people in that area found themselves without clean water for two weeks! (8) Filth was everywhere, and the water mercifully stopped only two inches short of swamping a major power station, which would have left 500,000 homes without power. (9)

Only a few days after the plague of flooding, foot-and-mouth disease broke out among the cattle prompting a ban on meat and dairy exports and halting all animal movement. (10) The British authorities are now saying they have evidence that the devastating animal disease was an act of sabotage and was purposely planted among the cattle in Surrey, England. (11)

In other parts of the world such as India, nineteen million people found themselves wading in filthy water up to their waists from monsoon flooding. (12) In Red China, floods, landslides, and killer lightning killed hundreds and knocked out power for more than thirty million people. (13) It should also be noted that Red China is also suffering from many other pollution problems. According to Reuters News Service in a report dated June 11th, 2007, two-thirds of Chinese cities have serious water and air pollution. (14) In fact, Red China is so polluted that it is also affecting the United States. On June 20th, 2007, which was the eve of the witches' sabat of Midsummer, the Wall Street Journal reported as follows: "An outpouring of dust layered with man-made sulfates, smog, industrial fumes, carbon grit, and nitrates is crossing the Pacific Ocean on prevailing winds from booming Asian economies in plumes so vast they alter the climate. These rivers of polluted air can be wider than the Amazon and deeper than the Grand Canyon." Atmospheric physicist V. Ramanathan at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla, California, said, "There are times when it covers the entire Pacific Ocean basin like a ribbon bent back and forth…..on some days, almost a third of the air over Los Angeles and San Francisco can be traced directly to Asia." (15)

In the United States, problems continually arise. On July 19th, 2007, a powerful explosion rocked one of the busiest parts of Manhattan in New York City. A steam pipe exploded beneath a street near Grand Central Terminal, sending a giant scalding jet of brownish steam toward the sky. People in the area ran so fast that their shoes came off as the geyser of the foul cloud, mixing with steam, rust-colored gunk and pavement, shot high into the air. The roar was like that of Niagara Falls. Vehicles of all kinds were tossed into the air and then swallowed up by the abyss that was once a street. (16) It was as if a pit of hell had opened up in the streets of New York City! One person was killed and thirty were injured.

On August 8th, 2007, there was more trouble in New York City. A massive storm hit the city, including a powerful tornado that twisted for nine miles from Staten Island to Brooklyn. (17) Roofs were ripped off and trees were strewn around everywhere. Heavy rain brought flooding that literally shut down the transportation system of this city known as the "Capital of the World." Subways were flooded and streets were impassable. There was flooding at Penn Station, and lines of over one thousand people waited for taxi rides. Mayor Michael Bloomberg said, "I don't know that God had rush hour in mind when the storms hit." (18) One of the things that shocked people the most is that there had not been a tornado in Brooklyn, New York, in 118 years. (19) Even the studios of the CBS "Morning Show" were flooded out as water poured into the building. The program could not be aired. (20)

In addition to the devastating floods in President Bush's home state of Texas, the wildfires in twelve states, and the violent storms, there are other strange things happening. A strange virus that attacks fish is popping up in lakes all over Wisconsin. The Great Lakes are also becoming plagued by the virus known as VHS, and Gary Whelan, fish production manager of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, said, "The disease will never disappear. It is now a permanent part of our communities." (21)

In another report released on June 15th, 2007, by the National Audubon Society, more shocking information was given. Our common birds are disappearing. In recent years there has been a decrease of 65 to 87 percent of the popular birds that used to fill the air with their little songs. The Northern Bobwhite has decreased by 87%, the Evening Grosbeak by 78%, the Boreal Chickadee by 73%, the Eastern Meadowlark by 72%, and the Field Sparrow by 68%, just to name a few. (22)

We are told in Amos 7:17 that people who reject the Lord will "die in a polluted land." We have been told by the U.S. Government that we are in no danger of radiation in the United States, and that all radioactive waste is securely disposed of. In fact, President Bush has been accepting radioactive waste from other countries who don't want it in their lands. On August 5th, 2007, the Associated Press reported that two dairy farms in Fallon, Nevada, about sixty miles east of Reno, have been dumping their milk because of the highly radioactive polonium-210 contamination. It was discovered that twenty-five drinking water wells contained this deadly element! (23) Polonium-210 does not occur naturally by itself and must be extracted from uranium ore, or it can also be made by bombarding bismuth with neutrons in a nuclear reactor. Polonium-210 is a powerful and deadly alpha-emitter and was the poison used to kill the Russian spy in England a number of months ago. How did it get into twenty-five wells?

When we consider all of the turmoil on earth, we must also look up to the heavens, for our Saviour instructed us to do so. In Luke 21:25 we read as follows: "And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring."

In the realm of the stars, amazing things are happening. On May 7th, 2007, NASA released a report about a colossal exploding star that stunned NASA astronomers. This event was five times brighter than any supernova ever witnessed by astronomers. It looked like millions of illuminated diamonds bursting forth with blood-red clouds surrounding it. The NASA scientists also speculated that there will be another large explosion like this, only much closer to the earth, and that it would be sometime soon. (24) We also know that a large nebula is now set to blow, according to Dr. Peter Tuthill of Cornell University in New York. The recently discovered nebula is called the Red Square Nebula, and it is a brilliant white cross that turns blood-red in all directions from the center. The nebula is a perfect four-square pattern, and Dr. Tuthill made the following statement: "The thing that really takes your breath away is the astonishing degree of symmetry within the intricate linear forms. It's almost like a crystal." (25) As I read the report and looked at the picture, I was reminded of Revelation 21:16, which says: "And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal." As I thought about the professor's words, "It is almost like a crystal", I remembered Revelation 21:10-11, which says: "And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal." We must also remember that in the science of astronomy a red shift means an object is moving toward you. Is this a sign of the approaching city of God, or is it the city itself? We will soon find out!

A Fallen Bridge Over Troubled Waters!

On August 1st, 2007, the day of the witches' high cross-quarter sabat of Lughnasaid, disaster struck in the twin cities of Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota. During the time of rush hour with a heavy flow of traffic, the I-35 bridge over the Mississippi River collapsed. It was soon discovered that initially seven people were dead, at least sixty were injured, and over twenty were missing. A school bus with sixty children in it was pinned in the wreckage, but all were safely rescued. It was a disaster of major proportions. Trucks were on fire, and twisted metal and broken concrete made the area look like a bomb had been dropped. The river was full of debris and mangled cars. (26) Within an hour we were told that it was not a terrorist attack, which means it probably was; but then, who are the terrorists? How can it be determined within an hour that there was no foul play involved? Furthermore, the very next day a report was issued by the Federal Highway Administration that there are 70,000 bridges in the United States that are rated deficient. (27) That is also fast work! If it is true and they knew it, why didn't they tell us this before? Another report, issued on August 2nd, 2007, focused on New York City and questioned the safety of its bridges. It is an amazing fact that New York City has 2,027 bridges. (28)

There are a number of things that should be brought out regarding the collapse of the I-35 Bridge in Minnesota. For one thing, it was directly in the way of the NAFTA Super Highway that is to be built connecting Mexico, the United States, and Canada. (29) It should also be noted that immediately after the tragedy, high-level Republicans, including President Bush and the First Lady, came to view the wreckage. After all, Minneapolis-St. Paul is where the forthcoming Republican National Convention is to be held. The Twin Cities area is also the home of the largest publisher of occult and witchcraft books in the United States, Llewellen Publishing Company. This publisher has always been the driving force behind the huge convention of witches, known in the craft as the Aquarian Arts Festival, held in Minneapolis-St. Paul. The Twin Cities are the most occult cities in the Midwest; and Minnesota, the Land of 10,000 Lakes as it is called, is sacred to Wiccan witchcraft.

One more thing about this area that must be mentioned is an event that happened in Hampton, Minnesota, at the beginning of July 2007. The largest Buddhist temple in the United States was completed and dedicated by seventy Buddhist monks in a four-day ceremony. Five thousand Buddhists were gathered there, and along with chanting and ceremonies, there was a consecration of a large image of Buddha. (30) Satan is very much at work in Minnesota, especially in the northern part of the state because of the high populations of witches, who believe that the iron and copper ores of that region have magical qualities.

Old Spirits of a New Reich!

A very strange spirit is rising in the world today, and it is one that we have experienced before. Those who have studied the history of the rise of Nazi Third Reich in Germany or are old enough to have lived during it, should recognize this spirit. It is the spirit of Satan himself, who is now rising up in a final crescendo of a full manifestation of evil devices. In Revelation 12:12 we read as follows: "Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth of the earth and of the sea! For the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time."

We have heard the stories about the Gestapo torture interrogations, the medical experiments using pathogenic germs, the baby factories encouraging free sex to populate the "Fatherland", and other such diabolical enterprises. Now it is all beginning to happen again, except that it is not confined to one country. This intense spirit is rising everywhere, and primarily in the United States, Russia, and Red China. There is always a spirit behind the endeavors of tyrants, and this spirit of antichrist is now becoming overt and obvious. Sadly, it is all happening at a time when people seem to welcome it.

On July 21st, 2007, the Associated Press featured an article entitled "Interrogation Program Revived." This is the same weekend that the final Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, was released with celebrations worldwide during the darkness of midnight. The article revealed that President Bush had just signed an executive order that would allow harsh interrogation of those considered to be terror suspects. This executive order by Herr Bushler allows the CIA to use its methods of torture, which in the past had to be kept secret. The Americans always wanted to perpetuate the illusion that we are the "good guys." The article states the following: "In the past, the methods are believed to have included sleep deprivation and disorientation, exposing prisoners to uncomfortable cold and heat for long periods, stress positions, and a simulated drowning technique known as waterboarding. The Bush Administration has portrayed the interrogation operation as one of the most successful tools in the war on terror…." (31)

Is it any wonder why so many nations who know these things hate the United States? President Bush tells us that they hate us because of our American way of life, but obviously there is more to it than that. This world has become a very ugly place, and nobody is right if everybody is wrong!

We have also learned that the Federal Government is about to build a huge new laboratory where killer germs such as anthrax, avian flu, foot and mouth disease, and other such plagues are studied. The cost of the laboratory is a whopping $450 million. They are about to choose the site where it will be built, and they have narrowed their choices down to five possibilities, including undisclosed areas in Texas, Georgia, Kansas, Mississippi, and North Carolina. The Department of Homeland Security declined any comment. (32)

As previously mentioned, the strange spirit of antichrist, manifesting as a worldwide Reich of socialism, is rising up everywhere. I previously mentioned the baby factories of Nazi Germany where facilities dedicated to free sex were used to populate the "Fatherland." Now we have the same thing going on in Russia, or "Mother Russia" as it is known. Vladimir Putin's Kremlin is promoting a youth organization almost exactly like the Hitler youth. There are millions of Russian youth involved in the Putin programs, and one of the youth organizations is known as Nashi, which means Ours. One of the functions of the youth group is to gather young people, ten thousand at a time, at camps. Tents are set up and the youth participate in a mass State marriage. The youth enter the tents and have sex for the purpose of repopulating "Mother Russia." Condoms are forbidden, and the tents are set up in a heart shape. This youth movement of uniformed and militant Russians is currently 100,000 strong. The Kremlin doesn't really care who the parents of this forthcoming baby boom are; the government is only interesting in repopulating the country. (33)

We have also learned that Russia and Red China are holding joint war games in the Ural Mountains. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Communist Chinese leader Hu Jintao stood together as they watched the thousands of Russian and Chinese forces unite for these games of war. (34)

On August 2nd, 2007, Russia sent a submarine to the North Pole and planted a tricolor cast in titanium onto the seabed, 14,000 feet below the waters of the North Pole. This metallic Russian flag represents Russia's claim to not only the North Pole but to the entire Arctic region with its vast energy resources. The United States and Canada are denying Russia's claim. (35)

We are living during a time when all of the old powers are rising once again. Even Japan, which has been constitutionally restricted from raising anything but a defensive military, is becoming provocative with a recent hyperactivity. Japan has been involved with the U.S. military in war games in the Western Pacific Ocean. The Japanese have been dropping 500-pound live bombs on the small island of Farallon de Medinilla about 240 miles north of Guam. It has been reported that there is a new wave of pride in the Japanese military, and they are in an active weapons acquisition program. The Japanese Air Force is now boasting about its new F-2 fighter plane that can fly 1,700 miles without refueling. (36) It seems as if the entire world is preparing and bracing for a final global war. The signs of it are everywhere.

The war with Iraq continues on and is not only intensifying, but it is the very blasting cap that is ready to set off the entire Middle East. The war in Iraq, which was started on a ruse of willfully false information, has cost the United States approximately $500 billion, which is about $4,000 per second, and the clock continues to tick. (37)

We also know that our military government continues to insult its own fallen men and women. In Fort Lewis, Washington, it was announced that our slain soldiers would no longer be given individual memorial services. All of the dead would be grouped together for one service each month. There has been a great outcry of rage from the families who not only lost a loved one, but now they must put up with one final slap in the face from our opportunistic government. (38)

It is bad enough that the war has gone on so long with its scandals and atrocities, but now it appears that the Bush Administration is picking a fight with Iran, an ally of Russia. Iran is currently in the process of buying 250 advanced long-range Sukhoi-30 fighter jets from Russia. (39) Iran has also been buying numerous other weapons and bombs from the Russians. The many roadside bombs that have been killing our troops in Iraq have been identified as Iranian, according to Lt. General Raymond T. Odierno, the number two commander in Iraq. (40) Now the volatile situation will intensify as the United States has decided to designate Iran's 125,000-strong Revolutionary Guard as terrorists. (41) This is nothing short of a declaration of war with Iran! We are no doubt on the very eve of destruction. Are you ready to meet the Saviour when He breaks through the skies?

The British government is now making it known that they intend to withdraw their troops from Iraq shortly, and President George Bush is becoming very nervous about the British withdrawal. (42)

With all that is known about the war in Iraq, some people have wondered why there have not been massive nationwide protests and uprisings against it. The reason is because there is no military draft like there was during the Viet Nam War. Now, President Bush's new war advisor, or war czar as he is called, Army Lt. General Douglas Lute, stated the need for a military draft in an interview on National Public Radio's "All Things Considered" program. General Lute said the following regarding a military draft, which would force young people into the military: "And I can tell you, this has always been an option on the table. But ultimately, this is a policy matter between meeting the demands for the nation's security by one means or another…..I think it makes sense to certainly consider it." (43)

These are trying times! Here in America, the problems are mounting. Our economy is so bad that panic is beginning to develop on Wall Street. Investors have lost over one and one-halt trillion dollars in the past few weeks. In some cases, an entire year's gains was wiped out in a matter of hours. (44) This will soon affect everyone. A recent report revealed that food prices will rise dramatically very soon, and the increase will be an average of seventeen percent initially. (45) In the depression that followed the 1929 market crash, about eighty percent of our population was Christian-minded. Now that number is closer to five percent. How would this current population react if they were reduced from luxury to begging for bread? Seek the Lord now! It's later than you think!
