Overt Corruption In A Wicked World!

"And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil."

Ephesians 5:11-16

"Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate."

Titus 1:15-16

"I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen."

I Timothy 6:13-16

In this issue of the Last Trumpet Newsletter, we will examine a world that at this time is overrun with sin, deception, and corruption. By the time this newsletter is printed, the presidential election of 2016 will be just a few short days away. As we have watched the campaigns of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump unfold, many Americans have become disillusioned and overwhelmed by a sense that there is something very wrong in this country, and that there is something very wrong with the method by which our leaders are selected. We all know that politicians are dishonest and corrupt, yet this election year of 2016 has forced us to face this uncomfortable reality head-on. The corruption is so overt that any intellectually honest person must see it, and those who fail to do so are being willfully ignorant.

On November 8, 2016, it is a very real possibility that Hillary Rodham Clinton will be selected as the next president of the United States. This seems like the most likely outcome, especially since the mainstream media is already proclaiming that Clinton will be the next President of the United States despite the fact that no election has yet been held this year. For example, an article published by the Wall Street Journal on October 18, 2016, speaks of a loss by Republican candidate Donald Trump as a forgone conclusion. "It is not too early to wonder what the Republican Party will do in the wake of his defeat, its third consecutive quadrennial loss," the article states. (1) In another article published by ABC News, it is declared that "Donald Trump's path to the White House is fading fast." (2) Such news stories are not surprising when we consider the fact that the mainstream media clearly favors Clinton and has colluded with her many times in the past. In some cases, news stories are even planted with the media by individuals in Clinton's camp. This fact came to light in a recently leaked strategy document from Clinton's campaign which declares, "We have had a very good relationship with Maggie Haberman of Politico over the last year. We have had her tee up stories for us before and have never been disappointed. While we should have a larger conversation in the near future about a broader strategy for reengaging the beat press that covers HRC (Hillary Rodham Clinton), for this we think we can achieve our objective with and do the most shaping by going to Maggie." (3)

Of course, we know that Clinton's opponent Republican candidate Donald Trump is often controversial. He is frequently derided by the press and politicians for his statements, and he has recently been criticized for suggesting that the election in November might be rigged. Although such a notion seems preposterous to most people, there was one individual who had once suggested that elections are sometimes manipulated. This individual is none other than Barack Obama. Speaking at a campaign stop at Kent State University in Ohio, Obama was asked in 2008, "I would just like to know, what can you say to reassure us that this election will not be rigged or stolen?" In response to the question, Obama told his audience, "Well I tell you what, it helps in Ohio that we got Democrats in charge of the machines. But look, I come from Chicago, so I want to be honest it's not as if it's just Republicans who have monkeyed around with elections in the past. Democrats have, too." Obama then went on to say, "Whenever people are in power, they have this tendency to try to, you know, tilt things in their direction." (4) Obama's statement in 2008 stands in stark contrast to a recent statement he made regarding Donald Trump. "I've never seen in my lifetime or in modern political history any presidential candidate trying to discredit the elections process before votes have even taken place," Obama said in October 2016. (5) It is amazing how often Obama's words of the past contradict his current viewpoints.

In the United States of America, small children are often told that they might someday grow up to be President. Yet, when we examine the facts, it seems that only certain members of a specific elite class ever get such an opportunity. At this point in history, forty-three men have been President of the United States, and of these men, forty-two have a lineage that can be traced back to King John of England. This even includes Barack Obama, with the lone exception being the sixth American President, Martin Van Buren. (6) Interestingly enough, the two main candidates in the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, are also related. "Their 19th great grandfather is King Edward III so there is precedent for ruling a country. It's in their genes," said A.J. Jacobs, who worked with the genealogy company known as MyHeritage. (7) Is this all just a coincidence or is there an unseen hand that influences the election process?

At any rate, the presidential election of 2016 features two very flawed individuals. Hillary Clinton is a scoundrel, who has lied, cheated, and likely killed to get to where she is today. She is perhaps the wickedest woman alive and the most treacherous female leader since Jezebel's reign of terror in ancient Israel. Should she become president, we can be certain she will work hand-in-hand with the United Nations to establish a one world government. At a private speech given in 2013, Clinton spoke the following words: "My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders, sometime in the future with energy that's as green and sustainable as we can get it, powering growth and opportunity for every person in the hemisphere." (8) Lest we forget, a country without borders is not really a country at all, and as such, it seems that it is Clinton's dream to destroy the sovereignty of the United States.

As for Donald Trump, he has said and done things in the past that no one should ever say or do. I cannot even quote his words in some cases because they are highly inappropriate. Put simply, the man needs to repent. He has also said things that make me question his judgment. For example, Trump wrote in 2008, "Hillary Clinton said she'd consider naming Barack Obama as her vice-president when she gets the nomination, but she's nowhere near a shoo-in. For his part, Obama said he's just focused on winning the nomination, although at least one member of his team said Clinton would make a good vice-president. (I know Hillary and I think she'd make a great president or vice-president.") (9)

Needless to say, the election of 2016 has caused a great deal of anxiety for the American people. It is difficult to accept the possibility that someone as wicked and corrupt as Hillary Clinton could actually be President, and as such, many people are worried about the future of the United States. Yet, I know that whoever they may proclaim to be President, Jesus Christ is still my King. Nothing will ever change this fact. In Psalm 145:10-13 we read, "All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee. They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom. Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations." As God's children, we can boldly serve our King, and we do not have to be afraid. In II Timothy 1:7 we are admonished by the Apostle Paul, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

Planned Parenthood - 100 Years Of Treachery!

We live in a world today where sin has become normal. As such, there are millions of people in the United States today who seem to have an inability to discern right from wrong. In fact, the barbaric practice of abortion is often promoted as a good and virtuous thing, and even so-called Christian institutions are supportive of it. For example, it was reported in September 2016 that Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, is now partnered with the famous abortion provider known as Planned Parenthood. This partnership allows students from the university to earn school credits by serving as interns at Planned Parenthood facilities. As would be expected, this development has sparked outrage in Texas. "Instead of educating and equipping students on how to persuasively discuss the pro-life viewpoint and help women in crisis, they instead reward students for spending valuable time volunteering for an organization that ends the lives of over 325,000 innocent human beings a year. And just think of the parents who thought their child would be receiving a valuable Christian-focused education at a private school," said Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America. (10) Even some churches are offering their support to Planned Parenthood in this wicked age. Speaking at an event in New York City, a woman by the name of Neichelle Guidry Jones, who purports to be a pastor at the United Church of Christ in Chicago, Illinois, was quoted as saying, "We celebrate today that on October 16, 1916, Margaret Sanger opened the doors of the first Planned Parenthood clinic right here in New York City. And with this act of courage and resistance, the doors were opened for women to overcome the silence and the shame and the stigma inflicted on our sexuality." It is ironic that Guidry Jones, who is a woman of color, would invoke the name of Margaret Sanger, considering the fact that Sanger was a despicable racist who once gave a speech to an auxiliary of the Ku Klux Klan. Guidry Jones then went on to offer a prayer in support of Planned Parenthood. "We can't do this alone. We might be many, but with You we have been mighty. So come into our gathering with Your presence and Your insight and Your peace and Your power. Come with your unity that we might be ready when You call. Call on us to stand, call on us to press and fight, to speak, to move and to march on into the next 100 years of Planned Parenthood," Guidry Jones said in her prayer. (11) As I consider the words this woman offered in her prayer, I cannot help but think of the Scripture we find in Titus 1:16, which tells us, "They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate."

Planned Parenthood has its celebrity advocates as well. This list includes the repugnant comediennes Sarah Silverman and Amy Schumer and many actresses from Hollywood. (12) Even men from Hollywood have become supporters of Planned Parenthood in recent days. This includes a man named Andy Richter, who is the sidekick of late-night talk show host Conan O'Brien. In September 2016, Richter spoke at a fundraiser for Planned Parenthood where he declared that he was "eternally grateful" to the group for helping him and the woman he was dating at the time to abort their child. "Luckily for us Planned Parenthood existed. My girlfriend knew that she was not ready for motherhood, and I knew that I was in no way prepared to be a father. I drove from Chicago in my battered old Toyota pick-up to be with her when she went to Planned Parenthood to terminate her pregnancy. Her choice to get an abortion was a choice that she made with assuredness. She knew that she was doing the right thing for everyone involved." He later went on to express his disdain for pro-life people while using vulgar expletives to make his point. (13)

On October 14, 2016, Time Magazine published an article written by Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards. In this article, Richards celebrated her organization's century of treachery. "Planned Parenthood has grown from one storefront to nearly 650 health centers nationwide. Those health centers see 2.5 million patients a year. Since the legalization of abortion in 1973, Planned Parenthood has proudly provided abortion care and fought every effort to roll back our rights," Richards wrote. While Richards is proud of her organization's accomplishments, she insists they still have more work to do. "In 2016, too many people still go without access to safe and legal abortion and other basic preventive care," Richards complained. (14) Sadly, this filthy organization has slaughtered more than 7 million babies since 1973. (15) This number of slaughtered innocents exceeds the population of Chicago, Illinois, and Los Angeles, California, combined!

One thing is certain, if Hillary Clinton becomes President of the United States on January 20, 2017, she will do everything in her power to ensure that abortions continue in the United States. Clinton has worked closely with Planned Parenthood, and Cecile Richards has campaigned extensively for Clinton. "I've now been in more than 20 states for Hillary, and the excitement and the enthusiasm is amazing, but there's nothing better than being in your hometown. Many people I've talked to here have been a supporter of her for years. For them, this is huge. It's a day they never knew would come," Richards said at an event in Austin, Texas, during the month of September 2016. (16) Richards also bragged that with the help of Hillary Clinton's foundation, they have been able to target and reach more young people around the world with their message. "As part of Planned Parenthood's CGI (Clinton Global Initiative) Commitment to Action, Planned Parenthood Global has supported partners to reach more than two million adolescents and youth with sexual and reproductive health information and services since 2012, more than twice its original goal," Richards boasted. (17) Hillary Clinton has such disregard for the unborn that she has even made the claim that unborn children have no Constitutional rights prior to birth. (18) As such, she believes there should be no restrictions on when a baby can be killed while still in the womb, and even supports late-term abortions, which occur in the third trimester of pregnancy. About 18,000 such abortions occur every year in the United States, (19) a number that exceeds the entire population of my hometown of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.

The Return Of The Cold War!

On March 15, 2011, a war began in Syria. This brutal war, which has continued to this day, has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. In fact, a news report from PBS estimates that 470,000 people have been killed as of February 2016. (20) This war, which has had devastating consequences for the people of Syria, has caused a slew of other problems as well. For example, the migrant crisis in Europe is directly related to the Syrian War since many of the refugees which have traveled to Europe have come from Syria. The war has also provided an opportunity for the Islamic State, which has wreaked havoc in Iraq and Syria. Yet another consequence of this conflict is the souring relations between the United States and Russia.

It is no secret that the Russian government supports the Syrian regime of Bashar Assad. If not for the support of Russia and Iran, this war may have already ended. The United States has actively been working to overthrow the Syrian government, putting the American government at odds with Russia. On October 19, 2016, the Guardian reported that the Russian military is planning a major military operation in Aleppo, Syria, on the eve of the American presidential election. "They are deploying all of the Northern Fleet and much of the Baltic Fleet in the largest surface deployment since the end of the Cold War. This is not a friendly port call. In two weeks, we will see a crescendo of air attacks on Aleppo as part of Russia's strategy to declare victory there," said an unnamed senior NATO diplomat. (21)

The current animosity between Russia and the United States is undeniable. In a statement issued in October 2016, a Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, warned the United States not to attack Assad's military in Syria, stating that doing so "will lead to terrible, tectonic consequences not only on the territory of this country but also in the region on the whole." (22) Shortly thereafter, American White House spokesman Josh Earnest was quoted as saying, "Everybody's patience with Russia has run out." After blaming Russia for being complicit with the Assad regime in Syria, Earnest went on to say, "There is nothing more for the United States and Russia to talk about." (23) Regarding the present conflict between Russia and the United States, Sir John Sawers, who was formerly the head of the British Secret Intelligence Service, warned, "We are moving into an era that is as dangerous, if not more dangerous, as the Cold War because we do not have that focus on a strategic relationship between Moscow and Washington." (24)

Amazingly enough, the Russian government has brought back survival drills in Moscow, Russia, aimed at preparing its citizens to survive a nuclear attack. "An inventory was taken in Moscow of the city's underground spaces, in order to allow us to plan for sheltering 100 percent of the city's population," said Russian government official Andrey Mishchenko. (25) According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, there is an expectation in Russia that war could break out very soon. "Most people believe that the Third World War has begun, but right now we are still in the cold phase of the war, which may or may not turn into a hot war. And during war, you have to support your country's authorities," said Lev Gudkov of the Russian research firm known as Levada-Center. (26) It is also worth noting that Russia has developed a new nuclear missile which they claim is capable of annihilating an area "the size of Texas or France." The bomb, which has been nicknamed "Satan 2," is expected to be ready for usage in 2018. (27)

Even as Russia continues to prepare for war, tensions have increased between the United States and China. On October 21, 2016, the American navy ship known as the USS Decatur intentionally entered a contested area of the South China Sea. This action prompted a rebuke from the Chinese government who declared that this action by the United States Navy was "illegal" and "provocative." The United States contends that China has no right to restrict traffic in this region of the world. "This operation demonstrated that coastal states may not unlawfully restrict the navigation rights, freedoms, and lawful uses of the sea that the United States and all states are entitled to exercise under international law," said White House spokesman Josh Earnest. American military officials have promised that such operations will continue despite the objections of the Chinese government. "The U.S. Navy will continue to conduct routine and lawful operations around the world, including in the South China Sea, in order to protect the rights, freedoms, and lawful uses of sea and airspace guaranteed to all. This will not change," said Admiral John Richardson, who is Chief of Naval Operations for the United States Navy. (28)

Anti-American sentiment is also on the rise in the Philippines. On October 21, 2016, an estimated 1,000 people protested outside the presidential palace in the Asian nation's capital city of Manila while holding up signs that read, "U.S. troops out now." (29) It was then reported on October 24, 2016, that Filipino President Rodrigo Duterte had traveled to Beijing, China, and made a startling announcement to the Chinese government. "Your honors, in this venue, I announce my separation from the United States. Both in military, not maybe social, but economics also." (30)

The Threat Of Cyber Warfare In This Modern Age!

A lot has changed since World War II ended in 1945. A global war fought today would likely be done in a very different way than the wars of the past. In this modern age, the United States relies heavily on technology and the Internet, which could lead to previously unseen problems during wartime. The entire infrastructure of the United States and the Western World is connected to the World Wide Web, and as we have seen in recent days, this platform is highly vulnerable to attack. In fact, a recent cyber attack of unknown origin disabled much of the Internet. During this attack, which occurred on October 21, 2016, many Americans discovered that they were unable to access their favorite websites such as Amazon.com, Twitter, Spotify, Netflix, and PayPal. According to reports, this unusual attack did not just rely on computers, but the perpetrators also took control of Internet-enabled devices such as digital video recorders, printers, and household appliances. (31) As many as 100,000 devices may have been hijacked and used in this attack. "This attack has opened up an important conversation about Internet security and volatility. Not only has it highlighted vulnerabilities in the security of 'Internet of Things' (IOT) devices that need to be addressed, but it has also sparked further dialogue in the Internet infrastructure community about the future of the Internet," said Scott Hilton, who is the vice-president of Dynamic Network Services. (32)

While it certainly is not the end of the world when Americans are unable to access their Netflix accounts, a cyber attack targeting the power grid, financial institutions, communication networks, air traffic control, or transportation systems would be far more detrimental. I cannot help but wonder if this recent attack was a test run. Both Russia and China are known to have highly-skilled factions of computer hackers. (33)

In closing, I realize that we live in a time unlike any other. The American presidential election of 2016, which will be happening very soon, could drastically change the course of human history. As always, there is much trouble in the world, and we are constantly hearing of wars and rumors of wars. Yet, I draw comfort from the fact that we have a God who knows the end from the beginning, and He is not limited or constrained by the endeavors of man. Throughout history, kingdoms have risen and kingdoms have fallen. Presidents have come and gone. Despite what man may try to do, Jesus is, and Jesus always will be King of kings, and Lord of lords. For as it tells us in Philippians 2:9-11, "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." If you have not yet repented of your sins and surrendered your life to God, I urge you to do so now.

Thank you all for your support of this ministry. Please remember us in your prayers as we seek to do God's will to the best of our ability. If you have any prayer requests, we are ready and willing to bring your petitions before the throne of the Almighty. We serve a gracious God, and I know that He does hear and answer prayers. Grace and peace be unto you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
